About an hour later, I went into the bathroom and saw one. I hadn't seen one in my house in years.

Might be a thing, or an idea, or just an uncommon word. I always assume I wouldn't have noticed noticing it if it wasn't top of mind. So, not really a strange coincidence. We filter out 99.9% of the incoming information anyway, and the .1% that gets through to our conscious observations is selected by our brains for any number of strange reasons, including an interesting pattern of having just thought about that thing. Maybe one of our ancestors survived an ambush because of such spidey sense noticings, and that's why their genetic line survived.

We're battling our annual dual invasions of ants. First the little ones when they first wake up, then a week or so later the big ones. Not sure the centipedes could keep up.
