Though I’m not too concerned about the low end, ours is 35 constitutionally but no one under 40 has ever seriously taken a swing at the presidency so it hasn’t been an issue.

Not that there aren’t plenty of 72 year olds still fit for the job. The problem is they continue aging and want to do 8 years in office.

Given the responsibilities and decisions the job entails, the long daily hours of work (on call always... at weekend & during holidays), the stress of continuous meetings with people, leaders of a country need to be a fit & healthy person with no dementia.

Job description requires essential qualifications and in this case age ought to be included.

I'd cap it at 70 years old. So under 70 when elected.
And have a 45 year old minimum age to run for office, to ensure some experience and maturity.

Knew WHAT all along? What did she confirm?

She’s saying (no doubt insincerely) that she had never seen him like this before. So she’s actually denying (however implausibly) that she knew all along about his mental condition.

Could it be the stroke? No, she’s saying she -thought at the time he had a stroke on stage because he was doing so poorly. That’s not something that’s been confirmed that she could have known ‘all along’.

So he must mean ‘she knew all along that he performed badly in the debate’. Well duh. Everyone knew and knows that. How is that all caps worthy?
